Towns along scenic Rte 169, Windham Co., CT
Rte. 169 begins in New London County, in Norwich, CT and ends at the Massachusetts line, in Woodstock, CT. It is a north/south two lane road, that curves and winds for about 40 miles.
In all seasons, to drive on this road is a pleasure to the senses that should be enjoyed slowly. I try never to be in a rush when traveling this route, because it has so much to offer. In each of the town, we are featuring, you will find beautiful, colonial era home, old barns, dairy farms, century old trees, lush fields and historic points of interest. I have tried to capture just a little of what Rte 169 has to offer.
