Sports Bowl Cafe, Tripp, SD

Tripp, SD is a relatively small town in southeastern, South Dakota. If ever you happen to be passing through and want a tasty, wholesome breakfast or lunch, stop in to see the super nice owners of the Sport's Bowl Cafe, Junellia and Melvin.

This combination restaurant-bowling alley-local hangout is located at 210 So. Main Street, Tripp, SD. You can't miss it. Tripp has only one commercial street, about two blocks long.

The Sports Bowl Cafe features a different, homemade special every day of the week, for lunch. The menu is posted a week in advance in the Tripp Star Ledger, Tripp's weekly newspaper. I have enjoyed a number of thier offerings and am looking forward to eating there often. My all-time favorite is the pork fritter fillet. This is a batter fried pork fillet sandwich, served with french fries. Their rib sandwich and beef and cheese sandwich are not to be ignored.

In addition to their welcoming menu, the Sports Bowl Cafe also sells beer and wine and has take out six-packs of beer.

Takeout is available by calling.

Bowling is available seven days a week and they invite you to join one of their bowling leagues. Sunday features a buffet in addition to thier normal breakfast and lunch menu.

The Sports Bowl Cafe was featured in Roadfood.com and given awesome reviews:

That is a lot more than can be said for other small town restaurants I have eaten in.
