South Dakota Attractions
South Dakota is a state of limitless horizons. The eastern and central parts
of the state are prarie. It is mostly flat, with some gently rolling hills.
The western part of the state is mountainous. The Black Hills in the western
part are famous for thier spectacular views and opportunities to view many
species of wildlife. Don't forget your gold mining equipment!! The landscape
across the state is dotted with small towns. It's easy to see that farming
is very important in South Dakota. From large modern farms to small farms
that have been held by the same family for years. Tourism is encouraged throughout
the state and hunters are welcome everywhere. South Dakota is a beautiful
state to visit and to reside in. I think it is the perfect retirement state.
Most of the towns are small and the people friendly. Taxes are low and depending
on where you want to live, real estate is a bargain. Rich and I feel very
fortunate that this where we have decided to move.
