Visit to Flagg RV Rhode Island

Rich relaxing in the driver's seatWe are the owners of a new Winnebago Itasca Sunova Motor Home. Our friends, Vlad and Carol, came for the weekend and were excited for us and our plans for the future.

They are the ones helping us with this website. They are computer geniuses. Lucky us!

Anyway, we decided to go for a ride to show them what we had bought.

Vlad in the passenger seat We are currently residing in Northeastern Connecticut.
We drove north on Rte 395 to exit 94 and headed east to Rt. 12 north.

From there we took a right on RT. 21 heading northeast.I am posting a picture of a beautiful church we passed. From RT. 21.

Then we got on RT. 44 into Chepachet, RI. and a right on RT. 102 and finally left on RT. 146 (also known as Quaker Hi Way).

We finally arrived at Flagg RV Center in North Smithfield, RI.

Arriving at the Showroom

We introduced Vlad and Carol to our wonderful salesman, Dave, who invited us to help ourselves to a bowl of hot corn chowder.

We couldn't wait to see the motor home again and to show it to our friends. Of course we had to take pictures. The first thing everyone did was find their own seat. That was easy as this baby can comfortably seat 9 people.

There are the driver and passenger seats, that swivel and recline. And a swivel-rocker behind the passenger seat.

What's Inside the Sunova?

A sofa that seats two comfortably and the dinette table that seats 4. Each seat comes with a seat belt for safety while traveling.
We were very impressed with the amount of storage available in a Class A motor home. The bathroom and bedroom are both quite roomy. The bedroom comes with a queen size bed, complete with Serta mattress.

My favorite is all the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen. Both the living room and the bedroom have large pull outs. This feature adds so much space once the motor home is set up. There are so many exciting features, some we didn't know existed such as the fully electric awning, awnings over every window and electric stabilizers.

Our First Trip

Rich and I, Vlad and Carol set off, slightly nervous, but confident that all would be well. We wanted to take a short trip before embarking on our 15 day vacation. We decided on an overnight trip and didn't encounter too many problems, if you don't count having the heat shut off half way though the night, with temperatures in the 30's, we were uncomfortable but in no real danger of freezing.

Rich decided we need a few more lessons to be able to efficiently run all the gadgets we bought. The compressor, the backup batteries and the inverter. We have four more days to get it all down pat before we take off for a trip to South Dakota.
